We currently have work up from Brent Houzenga. His show, "The Mustache Chronicles will be up through February 1st, 2010.
Brent Houzenga is a man of many faces. Usually, they are painted on old windows and sometimes salvaged barn wood or flooring...even vehicles. One thing is for sure, he gets around, and the point seems to be: there's dignity in obscurity. Brent's main thing has been bringing images lost to time back into focus in a manner both relevant and random. Such is life. Antique photo albums once relegated to the dumpster have become fodder for endless provoking displays that somehow unite us across the borders of time, gender, and circumstance.
Brent's a high-profile local artist and is very approachable whether your wanting to get into the arts or put together a jam. Brent's eager to help you get it rolling-just watch your back! The world is his canvas and you might get tagged. If you need a place to "do your thang", contact Brent about snagging some studio space in the East Village at Northland Studios. Mustache Bash Re-Hash
The Holiday party was loads of fun for all. We learned a couple of things...Beer and cookies are kind of a weird mix (there's only so much cocoa one can consume responsibly) and mustaches tickle your nose FOR SURE! We'll keep waxing, thank you! It was hilarious and memorable. Thanks to Santa and everyone for stopping by.
